Point Reyes Market

I had a fun day today driving from San Francisco to Point Reyes to photograph the sites with the fabulous photographer Tom Brichta after all of the rain we’ve had lately. It was gorgeous and green everywhere we looked. After a glorious morning of shooting and lunch in the adorable town of Point Reyes Station, we encountered the very local Toby’s Market, which is a family-owned and operated general store which has been in the community since 1942.

Of course I couldn’t resist looking at their store and wonderful selection of fresh produce, highlighting the best of this time of year. Prominently displayed were all of the oranges and other seasonal citrus.

I’m not sure where the beans, zucchini and cucumbers were coming from – a local green house? And everything was organic.

Where you buy your produce matters and you couldn’t help but feel virtuous and excited about the produce you could bring home from Toby’s. A must-stop if you’re in the area!
