Garden Gems

Carolyn and I love visiting gardens when ever we have the opportunity. Every garden we visit has beautiful flowers. Lately, I have been very interested in all the little gems that gardeners build and tuck into their gardens. The following photos are some of the wonderful non-flower surprises I have found in gardens.

The photo below is the top of an obelisk that I designed and built with my caretaker. I just took this photo a couple of days ago as it was covered in spring roses.

I just love stone planters in the middle of a garden partially hidden under a tree or bush.

This trellis walkway is in a public garden outside of London. It was massive.

The photo above is of a pumpkin in my garden made out of wine barrel straps by a local Napa Valley artist.

Another fabulous stone planter in the middle of a garden.

A beautiful wrought iron wheel with flowers climbing up through it.

All I can say about the face sculpture is FABULOUS!

A wishing well in the garden.

This beautiful metal sculpture was from a mountain garden tour we were on.

Such fun to walk in a garden, turn a corner and see a garden gem! I will be posting many more! If you have a favorite in your garden, please email me a photograph.
