My friend Trish sends me all kinds of interesting articles, videos, images – you name it! Yesterday she sent me a wonderful link to My Modern Met with a photographic feast of Holland’s Keukenhof’s tulips.
Sadly, with Covid-19, the garden was not able to open this year. Imagine planning an opening for a year, planting all of those bulbs and not being able to open. I cannot imagine their disappointment…nor the financial hit the garden will experience.
Dutch landscape photographer, Albert Dros, was granted private access to the garden to capture pictures of their tulips in bloom this year, unfettered by people! How special to have access to this garden with no people. His photos are incredible.
Keukenhof is open for only 8 weeks, from mid-March through mid-May and received 1.5 million visitors in 2019. This is definitely a garden I’ll add to my list of gardens to see.
Enjoy – and thanks so much for sharing this garden with me, Trish!
