Oxbow Public Market

The Napa Valley has so many fabulous places to visit. A must see if you are in the wine country is Oxbow Public Market. Located in the Oxbow District of Napa, it is a collective of local food vendors, artisan cafes and organic produce markets. It is open seven days a week.

My daughter and I went for early morning coffee at Ritual Coffee Roasters.  It is an artisanal coffee house that cultivates relationships with growers and roasts the coffee beans on site.  It is in the center of Oxbow with a lot of seating and seems to be the social center of the market.

Oxbow is committed to supporting sustainable and organic farming practices, owner-operated businesses, local food producers and the agricultural community of the Napa Valley.  One of my favorite shops is Hudson Goods and Greens.  It is owned by Hudson Farms and carries its own organic produce, specialty products and has a juice bar that makes smoothies and fresh juices.

Another favorite is Oxbow Cheese and Wine Merchant.  You can sit at their bar and wine taste and order a cheese tasting.

If you must have a sweet, there are a lot of options.  From Annette’s Chocolates to Three Twins Ice Cream to my personal favorite, Kara’s Cupcakes.

It is a festive environment full of locals as well as visitors.  Enjoy!
