A dear friend passed away recently who was a cherished wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend to so many. Her name was Toni Breck and she left us far too soon. She and I shared time on the Summer Search, Garden Conservancy boards and the West Coast Council of the Garden Conservancy. She was a trained horticulturist, landscape and interior designer and was particularly passionate about wildflowers. Toni LOVED gardens – creating them, visiting them, studying them and enjoying them. Traveling with her on a Garden Conservancy trip meant that you would know the name every single plant you were curious about. She really knew her plants! All who knew her will miss her immeasurably.
I miss you, Toni, but your inspiration will live on forever in the hearts of all those whose lives you touched.
