Ever wonder how to save your vegetable and fruit seeds? I’ve always been curious about it. I recently wandered on to a great instructional video on YouTube, produced by a collaboration between Seed Savers Exchange and Organic Seed Alliance, that describes how to save tomato seeds with great examples. It looks like a really fun science experiment to try next summer.
The reason I was watching the video is because I am interested in obtaining seeds for my vegetable garden next year from Seed Savers. But to feel like a full-fledged member of this organization, I’d like to participate in their mission of saving heirloom seeds for future generations – not just tomato seeds but other vegetables as well.
YouTube has several other videos on saving seeds and it doesn’t look that complicated. Guess what I’ll be doing next summer…
