As I relax in St. Barth’s over this Easter week, I am present to how lovely ‘sound’ is, in a garden. Palm trees surround our room and the grounds at the beautiful Eden Roc hotel on St. Jean Bay. They ebb and flow in the breeze, in rhythm with the waves of the ocean. There is something very calming about the sound.
I’m now wondering how I can incorporate ‘sound’ into my Napa garden. Water features provide wonderful sound, as do trees blowing in the afternoon breeze. Perhaps I just haven’t been paying attention to the sound I already have. It will be the first thing I check out when we get home!
