After our Garden Conservancy trip to Sun Valley, I had a short list of perennials that I fell in love with in the gardens we visited (which I always have after these great trips). So, I went online and tracked down seeds for some of these favorites – Shasta Daisies, Crazy Daisies and a few varieties of coneflowers – especially the beautiful blue ones ‘Yangko‘! They continue to arrive, but I just had to start planting the early arrivals.
On Sunday, I planted the seeds I’ve received and placed them in my Gardeners Supply grow light shelves, located in my Napa Valley garage. I used an automatic light timer to make the lights automatically turn on so they have 12 hours of light. I can’t wait to see the fruits of my labor!
